Cy Twomblys 50 days at ilium

Earlier in the semester I visited the Philadelphia Art museum to view the piece by Cy twombly 50 days at illium It invoked a multitude of reactions one of the first being surprise. I am not familiar with Cy Twomblys pieces and I did not expect to see what I saw upon visiting the museum. Once I got over my initial shock the contemporary style of Cy Twombly began to speak to me his story of Iliad through colors, shapes and style.
